Engagement

How engagements work.

Northvane is engaged as an overseas business-to-business supplier. Because the work is performed from Canada and Northvane is not a UK entity, UK off-payroll (IR35) rules don't apply to your engagement — there's no Status Determination Statement to issue, no PAYE to operate, and no employment-tax exposure on your side.

In practice, you contract with Northvane for defined deliverables and settle a standard supplier invoice. Simple, clean, and lower-overhead than engaging a UK contractor.
